Remedies For Dogs With Tear Stains

Tear is one of the languages of conveying the feelings this not only for humans but it also applicable for dogs. Dogs may try to express their feeling to you through tears; it will finally result in tear stains. These stains are due to the tears drops get deposited on the fur around eyes.  There may be many causes for your puppy’s tear try to find out that first and help them to get rid of it. Here are some of the effective home remedies that will help you in tear stains.

Corn Flour

Take some 2-3 teaspoons of corn flour mixed with warm water and add a drop of bleach to it. Be careful to apply the mixture without causing harm to puppy’s eyes. Allow the mixture to reach the room temperature and gently apply that mixture on the tear stains. Leave it undisturbed for 1-2 hours and then wipe it out with a soft cloth.

White Vinegar

White vinegar helps greatly to get rid of tear stains. White vinegar is the good sources of restricting yeast build up. Add 1-2 teaspoons of white vinegar to your puppy’s drinking water. Make them drink that liquid regularly, as it restricts the yeast and bacterial growth in the body.

Colloidal Silver

Wiping dog’s tear stain with colloidal silver will be one of the best options. It is full of antimicrobial properties which will avoid the growth of unwanted fungus and bacteria in the tear stains region. Dip a cotton ball in the colloidal silver solution and gently clean the tear stains without contacting with eyes.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Using apple cider vinegar to the warm bathing water gives good result in fading the tear stains away. You can also mix 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in your dog’s drinking water.

Regular Bath

Make your puppy to enjoy a good bath every day. Use natural soaps and shampoos to clean the tear stains while bathing. Avoid contacting eyes with soaps or shampoos as it creates severe irritation in their eyes.
